In honor of World Health Day, SciDev.Net explores key findings and policy recommendations from GHTC’s recently released report Meeting the challenge, seizing the opportunity: US leadership can advance global health R&D. GHTC Director Erin Will Morton is quoted, calling for robust, stable US investments in global health R&D, and noting the detrimental effects of “political battles in Washington” and “policymakers who only think in terms of short-term annual funding cycles” on global health innovation.
