GHTC statement to the WHO Executive Board on Immunization Agenda 2030

In advance of the 150th session of the World Health Organization (WHO) Executive Board, GHTC is calling on WHO and member states to strengthen vaccine-related research and innovation to advance next-generation COVID-19 vaccines that address variants and delivery challenges, new vaccines to combat the growing threat of antimicrobial resistance, and new innovations to improve manufacturing and vaccine storage and administration.

GHTC statement to the WHO Executive Board on the neglected tropical diseases road map

In advance of the 150th session of the World Health Organization (WHO) Executive Board, GHTC is urging WHO and member states, as part of the WHO road map for neglected tropical diseases (NTDs), to address key gaps is our arsenal of NTD interventions—including diagnostic, treatments, and pediatric therapies—by increasing investments in NTD R&D and improving WHO guidance and regulatory processes for in-vitro diagnostics.

GHTC statement to the WHO Executive Board on tuberculosis research

In advance of the 150th session of the World Health Organization (WHO) Executive Board, GHTC is calling on WHO and member states to increase investments in tuberculosis (TB) R&D, enhance protocol coordination and data sharing platforms, and streamline guidance processes for new tools to accelerate the development of and equitable access to TB products.

GHTC today honored Senator Roger Wicker (R-MS) and Congressman Ami Bera (D-CA) for their leadership in supporting global health research and development (R&D) with its 2021 Innovating for Impact Awards, which celebrate the US policymakers and partnerships driving global health innovation. GHTC also recognized Newborn Essential Solutions and Technologies (NEST360) for its work advancing innovations to end preventable newborn deaths.

GHTC joins PAN letter urging bold, timely action in global COVID-19 response

GHTC joined Pandemic Action Network (PAN) and nearly 40 partner organizations in an open letter calling on world leaders to do whatever it takes to get the world vaccinated as quickly as possible and ensure every country is equipped to spot newly emerging variants, fast.
