GHTC submits FY26 appropriations testimony to Senate appropriators

GHTC sent public witness testimony to relevant Senate appropriations subcommittees urging policymakers to increase funding and include supportive policy directives for global health research and development in fiscal year 2026 (FY26) spending bills.

GHTC signs community letter celebrating the Pandemic Agreement's adoption and calling for equity and access in implementation

GHTC signed on to Pandemic Action Network's "Working Together to Advance the Promise of the Pandemic Agreement" letter, in solidarity with 50 other nongovernmental organizations, civil society organizations, and academic institutions, celebrating the adoption of the agreement and calling on member states to continue prioritizing equity, access, and inclusivity in its implementation.

House appropriators advance funding bill codifying USAID closure with more favorable global health funding than White House request

This week, the House Appropriations Committee advanced out of committee a funding bill for fiscal year 2026 that included some welcome surprises. While it is disappointing to see cuts and the loss of the US Agency for International Development (USAID), this bill indicates that there remains bipartisan congressional support for global health, especially in this challenging fiscal and political moment.
