GHTC joined a letter endorsed by nearly 350 public health organizations urging Secretary of Health and Human Services (HHS) Alex Azar to support the critical role of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) in the United States' COVID-19 response. The letter expresses concern that evidence-based public health messages from the agency have been disregarded or silenced in the response, and it calls for increased funding for CDC's core budget.
