Innovating the way towards UHC at WHA
Universal health coverage (UHC) will take center stage at the World Health Assembly later this month. While there are many building blocks to achieve UHC, one integral pillar that is too often overlooked is innovation—the creation of new and improved drugs, vaccines, and diagnostic tools. Global health research and development is indispensable in delivering on the vision of quality health for all.
Philip has a background in global development policy and health care. At GHTC, he managed the coalition's multilateral policy analysis and advocacy work. Before joining GHTC, he served two years as a Senior Dedicated Advisor at the Advisory Board Company, working with hospitals and health care providers on issues surrounding burnout, patient safety, and engagement.
