House FY22 appropriations bills reflect global health R&D priorities

The House Appropriations Committee approved fiscal year 2022 (FY22) funding bills for Labor, Health and Human Services, Education, and Related Agencies and State, Foreign Operations, and Related Programs, which included increased funding levels for global health R&D programming and accompanying report language that reflected language submitted by GHTC.

GHTC responds to Congressional RFI on ARPA-H

GHTC responded to a request for information (RFI) from Representatives DeGette and Upton on the authorization of an Advanced Research Projects Agency for Health (ARPA-H) which calls for the new proposed agency to focus on poverty-related and neglected disease research, as an area of market failure, and encourages investment approaches that maximize flexibility and engage product development partnerships.

GHTC joined a letter from the Global Health Council to Administrator of the US Agency for International Development (USAID) Samantha Power requesting an audience with leaders of the global health community to discuss key community priorities.
