GHTC delivers statement on antimicrobial resistance at WHA
GHTC delivered a statement at the 70th World Health Assembly (WHA) welcoming global political commitments to combat antimicrobial drug resistance (AMR) and calling for these efforts to prioritize R&D for new tools. The statement, which was issued in partnership with the Global Health Council, PATH, and the American Academy of Pediatrics, also welcomes the establishment of the Global Antimicrobial Surveillance System and urges WHO to monitor progress by member states in implementing national AMR actions plans to promote accountability.
