GHTC delivers statement on access to medicines at HHS WHA listening session

GHTC delivered a statement at the US Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) World Health Assembly (WHA) Stakeholder Listening Session encouraging the US delegation to support a comprehensive approach to addressing barriers to accessing essential technologies. GHTC welcomed ongoing efforts by the World Health Organization (WHO) to strengthen regulatory systems to accelerate access and urged the US delegation to support the expansion of WHO’s Essential Diagnostic list.

GHTC delivers statement on AMR at HHS WHA listening session

GHTC delivered a statement at the US Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) World Health Assembly (WHA) Stakeholder Listening Session welcoming the US government’s commitment and collaborative action, with the World Health Organization and other stakeholders, to advance development of new antimicrobials, vaccines, and diagnostics to combat antimicrobial resistance (AMR). GHTC urged the US delegation and other member states to increase investment in R&D to combat AMR and to support enhanced cooperation at all levels to tackle this growing challenge.
