GHTC delivers statement on AMR at HHS WHA listening session

GHTC delivered a statement at the US Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) World Health Assembly (WHA) Stakeholder Listening Session calling on the US government to increase investment in developing new antimicrobials, vaccines, diagnostics, and other tools to combat antimicrobial resistance (AMR), including by supporting the Global Antibiotic Research and Development Partnership.

GHTC delivers statement on GSPOA at HHS WHA listening session

GHTC delivered a statement at the US Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) World Health Assembly (WHA) Stakeholder Listening Session on the global strategy and plan of action on public health, innovation and intellectual property (GSPOA). GHTC encouraged the US delegation to support global efforts to strengthen regulatory capacity and local production of health technologies in low- and middle-income countries and push for the World Health Organization to develop target product profiles for key missing tools to address health threats.

GHTC delivers statement on Immunization Agenda 2030 at HHS WHA listening session

GHTC delivered a statement at the US Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) World Health Assembly (WHA) Stakeholder Listening Session encouraging the US delegation to work with the World Health Organization and member states to strengthen mechanisms to define vaccine-related research priorities informed by user needs. GHTC also called on the US government to robustly invest in vaccine development for priority health challenges and support research on the full spectrum of product needs, including vaccine administration tools and storage and delivery innovations.

GHTC delivers statement on WHO’s emergency response at HHS WHA listening session

GHTC delivered a statement at the US Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) World Health Assembly (WHA) Stakeholder Listening Session encouraging the US delegation to prioritize R&D capacity strengthening within global frameworks to strengthen pandemic preparedness. The statement urged the inclusion of R&D in implementation of the World Health Organization’s (WHO) International Health Regulations and called for R&D coordination to be addressed as part discussions on a pandemic treaty.
