GHTC endorses IDSA letter urging US to engage with COVID-19 ACT Accelerator

GHTC endorsed a sign-on letter from the Infectious Diseases Society of America (ISDA) urging the US government to engage with the Access to COVID-19 Tools Accelerator (ACT Accelerator), a global initiative designed to drive the development and availability of COVID-19 vaccines.

GHTC joins GHC in WHA statement on COVID-19

As a member of the Global Health Council's (GHC) delegation for the 73rd World Health Assembly, GHTC joined GHC in its statement from civil society supporting the World Health Organization's leadership role in coordinating the COVID-19 global response and urging member states to support research for and equitable access to coronavirus drugs, vaccines, diagnostics, and other health products.

GHTC urges Congress to provide additional funding for COVID-19 international response

GHTC joined the Global Health Council (GHC) in urging Congress to provide additional funding to support COVID-19 response efforts in low- and middle-income countries. GHC sent a letter to appropriators signed by GHTC and other partners outlining a top-line ask for global health needs. A detailed supplement shared with the letter included specific recommendations from the global health community, including those from GHTC.
