Gates Foundation driving research into malaria eradication

September 14, 2010 -- The Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation is revamping its scientific agenda for malaria with the aim of eradicating the disease. The Gates Foundation has prioritized research and development for a safe and effective malaria vaccine, as well as a pill that could cure the disease and prevent its spread. In addition, reports are due soon from a group of scientists funded by the Gates Foundation to draft a research plan with eradication as the end goal. See the link below for more information.
