Group releases HIV vaccine strategic plan
September 13, 2010 -- The Council of the Global HIV Vaccine Enterprise has released a strategic plan to accelerate research and development for an HIV vaccine. The plan was created with input from hundreds of scientists, funders, policymakers, and advocates worldwide. The plan provides a framework to speed the development, execution, and analysis of HIV vaccine trials; better integrate preclinical and clinical research; more effectively capitalize on scientific advances from other fields; and bring new researchers and funders to the global effort to develop a safe and effective HIV vaccine.
