Merck donates products library for research
June 13, 2011 -- Pharmaceutical company Merck plans to donate its entire library of natural products to the Institute for Hepatitis and Virus Research (IHVR) along with a grant, the institute recently announced. The library, one of the world’s largest, will be open for researchers globally. “This is an extraordinary opportunity for the Hepatitis B Foundation and our research institute, allowing us to make this treasure available to scientists from all over the world,” Timothy Block, co-founder and president of the Hepatitis B Foundation and the IHVR, said.
