New partners join treatment pool for neglected tropical diseases
September 1, 2010 -- Several new partners have joined the Pool for Open Innovation Against Neglected Tropical Diseases in recent months. The pool facilitates access to the compounds, technologies, and expertise that can help organizations conduct research on treatments for neglected diseases. Medicines for Malaria Venture (MMV) earlier this month became the latest member of the pool, and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology became the first academic institution to contribute intellectual property in May. In addition, South Africa's Technology Innovation Agency was the first government agency to join in the pool earlier this year. See the links below for more information.
