Index ranks pharmaceutical companies on drug access in low-income countries
The Access to Medicine Index has released its most recent report, which ranks 20 of the world's largest pharmaceutical companies on efforts to ensure that medicines are made for and reach people in low-income countries. According to the index, six of the ten highest-ranking companies are based in Europe, and four are based in the United States. The report also has a separate ranking for generic drug makers, which typically conduct less research but produce low-cost drugs. See the links below for further details.
