A new report released by the Roll Back Malaria Partnership (RBM) highlights the many successes achieved by the malaria community over the past ten years and argues that real progress is being made toward fully eliminating malaria across the globe, thanks in large part to a strong commitment to research for lifesaving treatment and prevention tools.

Berman releases proposal to reform US foreign aid that includes global health priorities

 Rep. Howard Berman (D-CA), ranking member on the House Committee on Foreign Affairs, released a proposal to reform and modernize US foreign assistance programs. The proposal includes several initiatives that emphasize a need to support global health research and innovation.

Although best known for its role in regulating the products that Americans use to protect their health, the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has long recognized the importance of improving public health worldwide. The agency has recently taken several steps that demonstrate its continued commitment to global health, and it is critical that the FDA builds on this progress in order to make the biggest possible impact on the lives of people around the world.
